From the Dean

Greetings! I have been at Bentley University now for about seven months – more than enough time to recognize and appreciate its collaborative spirit and special strengths.

Our eight superb Arts and Sciences departments join with nine Business departments to give students a strong foundation for graduate work, career placement and professional success. We train brains – the synergy among our academic disciplines prepares graduates who are not only highly skilled, but well rounded. Through five majors and 15 minors, the Arts and Sciences offer a robust context for honing business-related skills alongside broader abilities such as effective communication and critical thinking. You might call it “bringing new perspectives to life.”

Faculty and students have many exciting stories to tell about the role of Arts and Sciences in their own experience and in the larger society. In this e-newsletter, we selected a few to share with you. I hope you enjoy them. This is a great place to be and I am grateful for the opportunity to work with such a talented faculty and staff in keeping Bentley on the rise.

I wish you all the very best as we kick off a new spring semester.

Sincerely,

Daniel L. Everett
Dean of Arts and Sciences
