Career options in the media industry are practically limitless. Today’s media-intensive world needs people with dual skills in creativity and business. The Media and Culture Major prepares students to enter fields that require both creative and business skills. Possible careers include:

Advertising Executive, Art Director, Assistant Director, Cinematographer, Editor, Entertainment Lawyer, Film Marketer/Distributor, Film/Video Director, Financial Officer for a Media Organization, Human Rights Monitor, Journalist, Lighting Director, Marketing and Publicity Manager, Media or Policy Analyst, Media Arts Administrator, Music Agent, News Anchor, Production Accountant, Production Designer, Production Manager, Novelist, Researcher, Film Archivist, Screenwriter, Sound Editor/Mixer, Television/Film Producer.

Students in our program have interned for such companies as MTV Networks, Spike TV Digital, WGBH, Picture Park, Fox News, Charlesbridge Publishing, PlatformQ, CBS News, and the Cannes International Film Festival Internship Program offered by the American Pavilion, among others.
