Major Courses

The management major provides a generalist orientation, with the opportunity to develop a specialized focus in areas such as human resources management, entrepreneurship, global business management, and technology management.

There are three required core courses in the major:

  • Interpersonal Relations in Management
  • One designated Global MG course
  • Organizations and Environments


As a student in the major you are also required to take three management electives and two management-related electives to complete the major. You may choose from a variety of electives that include, but are not  limited to:

  • Negotiating
  • Entrepreneurship
  • Management of Technology-based Organizations
  • Project Management
  • Human Resources Management
  • Management of International Operations
  • Leadership, Power and Politics

 The Management Department offers nearly 20 courses in all.

 As a student in the management major, you may minor in another business discipline such as accounting, finance, marketing or computer information systems. This combination of generalist and specialist education will allow you to pursue a wide variety of career options.



All Bentley students not majoring in Management may choose one of the two minors offered by the Management department - Management or Entrepreneurial Studies.  The requirements for these minors vary depending on whether you are pursuing a Bachelor of Science (BS) or Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree.  Follow the links below for information about the specific requirements for these minors.
